Student life in Levanger
Welcome to Levanger!
With 19 000 inhabitants Levanger is big enough to host a decent selection of restaurants, pubs, shops, cultural happenings, and facilies for training. Still it is small enough to retain its relaxed and cosy small town quality.
Campus Levanger is located in idyllic surroundings at Røstad just outside the town centre. Fomer Norwegian Minister of Education Gudmund Hernes once rightly referred to it as "the most beautiful campus east of California"!
Socialize on campus
The students have their own concert hall on campus, "Røstad scene". The sport centre "Trønderhallen" with a sports hall, pool and gym is the university's closest neighbour on the campus area.
Studentinord's own student host sets up quiz nights, theme nights, cooking courses and several other social activities thoughout the academic year.
Sports and fitness
There are gyms at Trønderhallen sports centre on campus and in the town that offer student discounts.
In Levanger you have access to varied outdoors and trekking experiences, along the fjord, at the island Ytterøya, in the mountains or at the harbour in the town centre.
