Rent a Cabin in the Mountains, Forest, or by the Coast (Bodø)

The Norwegian Trekking Association (DNT) in Bodø has 15 cabin sites stretching from fjords to mountain peaks—some close to roads, others way off the grid. You can book a bed whenever it suits you.

Cabins come equipped with dishes, duvets and pillows, a wood stove, and either a gas or electric stove for cooking. All you need to bring is a sleeping bag or liner, food, and personal gear. The cabins are run by volunteers.

We appreciate it when you treat the cabin with care, use firewood responsibly, and clean up after your stay—so the next guest finds it just as cozy as you did.

Student Discount

Thanks to Studentinord, you pay 50% less than the ordinary price. People under 26 gets 50% off their even lower price. See DNT's current prices (Norwegian website).

When your booking is confirmed, you can pick the key to the cabin at the Housing Office on campus.

You can not collect keys to Tussvatnet, Egnarbua og Hovedhuset at Gjælentunet because the discount does not apply to these cabins.
