Important information for short-term residents at Kaialundveien student housing
Here you will find practical and useful information about your stay.
Welcome to Kaialundveien.
Before you arrive
Find your way
The address is Kaialundveien 24, 8622 Mo i Rana.
The student housing is located in the centre of Mo i Rana, just a few hundred metres from Campus Helgeland.
Parking
There are 140 free parking spaces at Moheia Fritidspark, approximately a 5-minute walk from Kaialundveien 24.

Moving in
Check-in is from 3 pm on your arrival day.
Key card access code
Your key card will be placed in the key safe at the main entrance on your arrival day. The access code will be sent to you in advance by email or SMS.
While you are staying here
Internet
The student housing has wireless internet with a 1 Gbps connection (1000/1000 Mbps).

You can also connect to the internet using an Ethernet cable. If you experience any problems, please contact Signal's customer service at (+47) 75 43 05 00.
Bed linen and towels
A duvet, pillow, duvet cover, pillowcase, sheet, one large towel and one small towel are provided in a textile bag on the bed.
Use the kitchen extractor fan
The kitchen extractor fan must be switched on when cooking to prevent the fire alarm from being triggered.
Laundry
You can use the shared laundry room on the ground floor between 8 am and 10 pm.
You can easily book a washing machine and pay for your laundry using the AppWash app. Read more about how to use the service here.
Problems with your key / locked yourself out?
If you are locked out, you can call the Housing Office at (+47) 476 20 800 during opening hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–11am and 12pm–15pm). We will send a maintenance technician to unlock the door for you.
If you lock yourself out outside our opening hours, you can contact security for assistance. Contact Securitas at (+47) 22 88 14 09.

When you move out
Remember to clean
Remember to clean your room before moving out. Otherwise, you will be charged for the cleaning. See the fee overview.
Clean all surfaces in the apartment before moving out.
Cleaning equipment for short-term rooms is provided in the room. Each room has a mop handle, a mop, two microfiber cloths and a tea towel. These should be used for cleaning when you move out. You will also find a dish brush and a bottle of Zalo for cleaning kitchen equipment.
Remove the bed linen and place it back in the textile bag it came in. The same applies to the cloths and mop.
Wash the dishes and take out the rubbish so that the room is clean and welcoming for the next resident.
Moving out
Check-out is at 10 am on the day your contract expires, unless otherwise agreed with Studentinord's Housing Office.

Mobile key or Ving Card
The access card can be collected from the key box/cabinet at the entrance to Kaialundveien. The code for the key box/cabinet will be sent to you in advance by email. If you have problems accessing the building outside Studentinord's opening hours, you can contact Securitas. If assistance is required due to a lost access card or an error on your part, you may be charged a fee by invoice.
